SUST A Unit Result 2026: Shahjalal University Admission Merit List

The SUST A Unit Result 2026 of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology is expected to be published very soon. The exam for the 2025–26 academic year was held on January 13, 2026, in Dhaka and Sylhet. Thousands of science students from across Bangladesh took part in the test.

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, widely known as SUST, completed the A Unit admission test on Tuesday without any major problems. The exam is one of the most competitive university entrance tests in the country. This year, the level of competition was even higher due to a large number of applicants.

According to the admission committee, a total of 52,823 candidates applied for the A Unit test. Against them, the university has only 985 seats. This means more than 53 students competed for each seat. Most of the candidates came from science backgrounds and hope to secure a place at the Sylhet-based public university.

The A Unit is divided into two parts. The A-1 Unit is for science-related subjects. The A-2 Unit includes science and architecture-related programmes. Separate exams were held for each part, and the results will also be published separately.

The A-1 Unit exam took place from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm on January 13. The test was conducted at 18 centres in Dhaka and Sylhet. After the A-1 exam ended, the A-2 Unit exam was held on the SUST campus. University officials said proper arrangements were in place to ensure a smooth exam process.

After the completion of the exams, candidates are now waiting for the SUST A Unit Result 2026. The university will publish the results after checking and verifying all answer scripts. The result will be prepared based on the candidates’ performance in the multiple-choice question exam.

Once published, the SUST A Unit Merit list will rank candidates based on their scores. Students with higher marks will be placed higher on the list. In addition to the main merit list, the university is also expected to publish a waiting list. This list may be used later if seats remain vacant.

The admission authority has not yet announced an official date for publishing the result. However, based on previous years, SUST usually releases the A Unit results within seven to ten days after the exam. As the test was held on January 13, candidates can expect the result during the last week of January 2026.

Before releasing the results, the university carefully checks answer sheets and reviews candidate information. This process is done to avoid errors and ensure accuracy. Once the process is complete, the results will be uploaded to the official SUST admission website.

Candidates will be able to check their results online using their roll numbers. They need to visit the official admission website, go to the result section, select A-1 or A-2 Unit, and enter their roll number correctly. The result will then appear on the screen. Students are advised to save or print a copy for future use.

The published result will show key details such as roll number, merit position, unit name, and selection status. If a waiting list is published, candidates should check it carefully. In some cases, the university may also release migration lists later.

The A Unit result is important for science students across Bangladesh because it decides subject choice and the next steps of the admission process. With a very high number of applicants and limited seats, even small score differences can affect merit positions.

After the result is published, selected candidates must follow official instructions within the given time, as all further updates will be announced only on the SUST admission website.
