Online application opens for private MBBS, BDS Admission

The Directorate of Health Education starts the process for the 2025–2026 academic year and sets clear rules on fees and digital admission.

Online applications for admission to private medical and dental colleges in Bangladesh began today, Thursday, 5 February, for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The Directorate of Health Education announced the start of applications for local students seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses at approved private institutions across the country.

According to the official notice, candidates can submit applications online from 5 February until 1 March. The application fee can be paid until 2 March. The notice was signed by Professor Dr. Md. Mahiuddin Matubbar, Director of the Directorate of Health Education, and was issued on Tuesday.

The admission process is being conducted under the “National Admission Policy for Students in MBBS and BDS Courses for the 2025–2026 Academic Year” prepared by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).

Under this policy, applications are invited from local students for private medical colleges, dental colleges, and their approved units. Students must apply online through Teletalk. Only candidates who passed the MBBS and BDS admission examination for the 2025–2026 academic year will be allowed to take part in the application process.

Applicants are instructed to read the online guidelines carefully before filling in the form. The notice says forms must be completed accurately and according to the official instructions. The application fee is Tk 300, including Tk 200 and Tk 100 in separate charges. The fee must be paid only through prepaid Teletalk services.

The Directorate has also made it clear that government-approved fees will apply to all private medical and dental institutions. No college or unit is allowed to charge any amount above the fees set by the government.

All financial transactions related to MBBS and BDS admissions, including student admission fees at private institutions, must be completed through banks. This rule is intended to ensure transparency and protect students and families from illegal charges during the admission process.

Detailed instructions for completing the online application form and other admission information are available on the official websites of the Health Education and Family Welfare Division, the Directorate of Health Education, the Directorate General of Health Services, and Teletalk.

The notice also confirms that application processing, scrutiny, seat allocation, and final admission for private medical colleges, dental colleges, and units will be completed through a fully digital system.

If any information provided by a selected candidate is found to be incomplete or incorrect, the candidate’s application, college allocation, or admission will be cancelled. The Directorate stated that the decision of the admission test committee on any issue related to the process will be final.

The start of the online application process is important for thousands of Bangladeshi students who passed the national medical and dental admission test and are seeking places in private institutions for the next academic year.

After the application deadline ends on 1 March and the fee payment window closes on 2 March, the authorities will proceed with digital scrutiny and allocation before publishing the final admission results.
