Reports suggest the launch may take place in mid-to-late March

The OnePlus 15T is set to launch soon in China, according to a recent video shared by OnePlus community lead Shuai Lan. The announcement signals that the company is preparing to unveil its next compact flagship device in its home market.

In the video, Shuai Lan confirmed that the new handset will debut shortly. Several users on Weibo have also posted images of invitation cards sent by the company. These invites hint at the arrival of a compact smartphone.

Reports suggest the launch may take place in mid-to-late March. However, OnePlus has not yet announced an official launch date.

The upcoming model is expected to target users who prefer smaller displays without losing high performance. The device may feature a 6.32-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate means the screen updates more times per second, which can make scrolling and gaming appear smoother.

The handset is tipped to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It may come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. These components are designed to support faster multitasking and quicker data access. The phone could ship with Android 16-based ColorOS 16 in China.

Battery capacity is another key highlight mentioned in leaks. Reports suggest a battery between 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh, with some pointing specifically to a 7,500mAh unit. If confirmed, this would be larger than many current flagship devices. The device may support 100W wired charging as well as wireless charging. It is also expected to include an ultrasonic 3D in-display fingerprint sensor for unlocking the phone.

Design leaks indicate a compact body with a matrix-style rear camera layout. The phone could have a near-unibody design. It may be available in Cloud Ink Black, Morning Mist Grey, and Powder pink colour options, based on translated information from Chinese sources.

Camera details remain unclear. Earlier leaks suggested a triple rear camera setup. This could include either a 200-megapixel or 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation, along with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and a 32-megapixel front camera. Optical image stabilisation helps reduce blur in photos and videos. However, more recent reports point to a dual rear camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, plus a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Meanwhile, rumours suggest that OnePlus is also developing a OnePlus 15s for global markets. The global version may have a different camera setup compared to the Chinese model.

For consumers in Bangladesh and India, the launch may indicate the arrival of another compact premium smartphone option in the coming months. OnePlus is expected to share official specifications and pricing details at the launch event in China.
