The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) will not publish the planned 19th Teacher Registration circular, according to officials familiar with the decision. Instead, the authority will directly issue the 9th Teacher Recruitment circular for private educational institutions in Bangladesh.
Two sources from the Ministry of Education and NTRCA confirmed the matter on Tuesday, April 21. They said the change follows the revised recruitment policy introduced in 2025.
Under the new system, the recruitment circular will mention the number of vacant posts. Candidates will then sit for a selection process that includes a 200-mark multiple-choice (MCQ) exam and a 20-mark viva voce, or oral test.
After the exams, successful candidates will receive recommendations for appointment under the 9th Teacher Recruitment process. This means the 19th Registration circular will not be issued first, as earlier expected.
NTRCA Chairman Md. Aminul Islam told the mdia that the new policy allows direct publication of the 9th recruitment notice for more than 77,000 teacher posts. He said the term “19th Registration circular” will not be used.

Officials said NTRCA has already received vacancy data for 77,799 posts from educational institutions. The highest number of vacancies is for assistant teachers, with 44,691 posts.
Other vacancies include 928 Assistant Teachers for Religion and Moral Education, 4,014 Assistant Teachers or Physical Training Instructors, and 11,069 Assistant Maulvis. There are also posts for lecturers, practical instructors, Ebtedayi teachers, trainers, and other teaching roles.
The move is important for thousands of job seekers waiting for recruitment in private schools, colleges, and madrasas across Bangladesh. NTRCA is now expected to publish the new circular under the revised system.
