The HSC Routine 2026 has been published for students under the education boards, including Dhaka, Barisal, Comilla, and other boards in Bangladesh. According to the official routine, the HSC exams will begin on July 2, 2026, with Bangla 1st Paper.
The routine was published on Wednesday, April 22. A notice was issued through the Dhaka Education Board website. The notice was signed by Prof. S.M. Kamal Uddin Haidar, Controller of Examinations of the Dhaka Board.
Students across the country now have the full timetable for final preparation. Education officials usually advise candidates to check dates carefully and plan revision subject by subject.
According to the published schedule, Bangla 2nd Paper will be held on July 4. English 1st Paper is set for July 6. English 2nd Paper will take place after a two-day gap.
The routine states that exams from July 2 to July 15 will be held only in the first shift. That shift will run from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

The HSC Routine 2026 is important for students, guardians and colleges because it sets the final timeline before one of the country’s biggest public examinations. Many students use the routine to divide study time and focus on weak subjects before the test begins.
Candidates have been asked to collect a copy of the routine. Many students also keep a printed copy at their study desk for daily planning.
The notice includes several instructions for examinees. Students must take their seats in the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the exam starts.
The exam will begin with the Multiple Choice Question, or MCQ, section. After that, the Creative or descriptive written section will be held.
For subjects with a 30-mark MCQ section, students will get 30 minutes. The 70-mark creative section will then continue for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
For subjects that include practical work, the 25-mark MCQ section will last 25 minutes. The 50-mark creative section will continue for 2 hours and 35 minutes.
Officials said the examination will continue without any break until the time written on the question paper. There will be no separate break between the MCQ and creative sections.
For morning exams starting at 10:00 am, attendance and MCQ OMR sheet distribution will begin at 9:30 am. MCQ question papers will be given at 10:00 am. Students must collect admit cards from the heads of their institutions at least seven days before the exam.
Candidates have also been instructed to correctly write and fill in circles for roll number, registration number and subject code on answer sheets. Nothing should be written in the margins, and answer sheets must not be folded.
The notice also says students must pass separately in the theoretical, MCQ, and practical parts where applicable.
Examinees can sit only for the subjects listed on their registration card and admit card. They cannot appear in any subject outside that list.
