The final admission activities for first-year undergraduate students at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) for the 2025-26 academic session began on Sunday, 26 April. The process will continue for four days and end on 29 April.
University sources said 446 students completed admission on the opening day. Of them, 239 were male and 207 were female. BAU has a total of 1,006 seats this year, which means 560 seats were still vacant after the first day.
Students selected through the admission test had to complete an online pre-admission step between 18 and 25 April. They were required to log in to the university website, submit necessary information, and upload a passport-size photo and signature.
After that, applicants had to download and print several documents. These included the admission form, registration form, medical form, certificate checklist, and pay slip.
The university said students must now be present on campus to finish the final process. Admission activities are being held daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm from 26 to 29 April.
The admission fee has been fixed at Tk 6,214. Students who have already paid Tk 10,000 online do not need to pay again. The remaining balance, after deducting the fee, will be refunded to their bank accounts.
At the time of admission, students must submit original SSC and HSC transcripts and certificates, along with the admission test admit card. They also need signatures from the Dean, Provost, and Proctor before receiving approval from the Registrar.
The final document submission is taking place at faculty-based booths at the Syed Nazrul Islam Conference Hall on the BAU campus.
