The Jessore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has issued new instructions for SSC exam centres due to adverse weather. The directive was sent on Thursday to all centre secretaries under the board.
The board asked officials to ensure proper lighting and fan operation during exams. It warned that storms and rain may disrupt electricity supply. To prevent this, centres must arrange backup options before exams begin.
The letter said centres should keep LED charger bulbs, candles, charger lights, and IPS ready if needed. These measures aim to ensure students can sit exams without trouble. The board stressed that examinees must not face any difficulty due to poor lighting.
It also asked centre secretaries to check electrical systems in advance. Officials must ensure that no accidents occur due to electrical faults. Safety checks should be completed before each exam session.
The board said these steps are needed to maintain a safe and comfortable exam environment. It added that proper planning can reduce risks during sudden power cuts.
The SSC exams for 2026 are now ongoing across the region. The board expects all centres to follow these instructions strictly to ensure smooth exam operations.
