Admission interviews for the independent ‘D’ Unit at Islamic University (IU) will begin on May 10 for the 2025–26 academic session. The university published the official notice on April 30.
Professor Dr. Sekendar Ali, coordinator of the ‘D’ Unit and Dean of the Faculty of Theology, signed the notice. The admission test for this unit took place on April 11 under a separate system. Results were released on April 12.
A total of 330 seats are available in the ‘D’ Unit. The departments of Al-Quran and Islamic Studies, Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies, and Dawah and Islamic Studies each have 80 seats. The Department of Arabic Language and Literature offers 90 seats.
According to the notice, candidates selected in the first merit list must attend interviews from May 10 to May 12. The interviews will take place at the ‘D’ Unit Coordinator’s office from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day. Candidates who pass must complete their admission within the given time. If they fail to do so, their nomination will be cancelled.
After this phase, students who wish to change departments can apply between May 14 and May 15. The university will then hold interviews for the second merit list on May 22 and May 23, depending on available seats. Successful candidates must also complete admission within the set deadline.
Candidates must bring required documents to the interview. These include the original admit card signed by the invigilator, SSC and HSC certificates and mark sheets, and academic records from their latest institution. They must also carry eight recent passport-size colour photographs.
The university said any further updates will be published on its official website.
