The National University NU Admission portal has been hacked, causing concern among students across Bangladesh. The issue affects the website admission.nu.edu.bd, which now redirects users to unrelated pages showing casino advertisements. The problem appeared two days after the Honours 1st Year admission results were published on May 3, 2026.
Students first reported the issue in Facebook groups on Monday, May 5. At the time of reporting, the National University authority had not fixed the problem. There was also no official statement or notice regarding the incident.

When users search for the National University or NU Admission portal on Google, the site shows an irrelevant title. More importantly, clicking the link redirects users to another website displaying casino-related content. This has created confusion and frustration, especially during the ongoing admission process.
This year, more than 500,000 candidates applied for Honours admission for the 2025–2026 session. Among them, 453,148 students sat for the admission test held on April 25. The results were published at 3:00 PM on May 3. Shortly after, the admission portals went offline for several hours before returning to normal around 11:30 PM the same day.
The final admission process started on May 5 and is scheduled to continue until May 17. However, many candidates now face difficulty completing their application steps due to the hacked portal.
Students have been advised not to visit the affected website. Instead, they can use alternative official links, including nu.ac.bd/admissions and app11.nu.edu.bd, to complete their admission process safely.
The situation remains unresolved, and candidates are waiting for an official update from the National University authority.
