The Higher Secondary examinations were conducted from February 12 to February 27, 2026. More than 7 lakh students appeared for the exams across West Bengal. According to the board, around 66,000 more girls appeared compared to boys this year.

A total of 5,71,355 students successfully passed the examination. The board announced the results 76 days after the exams ended.

WBCHSE has introduced a new feature this year. The marksheets will now carry the photograph of each candidate. The council has also allowed students to reappear for Semester 4 examinations next year if they want to improve their scores. However, students must surrender their existing marksheet before appearing again.

Students can check their results through the official websites:

  • WBCHSE Official Website: wbchse.wb.gov.in
  • West Bengal Result Portal: result.wb.gov.in

To download the result, students need to enter their roll number and required login credentials. The online marksheet is provisional in nature.

Students can follow these steps to check their scores online:

  1. Visit the official website
  2. Click on the “WB HS Result 2026” link
  3. Enter roll number and login details
  4. Submit the information
  5. Download and save the scorecard

The provisional marksheet contains important details such as the student’s name, roll number, stream, subject-wise marks, grades, total marks, and qualifying status. Students have been advised to verify all details carefully.

According to WBCHSE rules, students must secure at least 30% marks in each subject to pass the examination. Separate minimum marks are also required in theory and practical or project sections.

Students can also access their digital marksheets through DigiLocker using their registered mobile number and examination details.

The board said hard copies of marksheets, pass certificates, and registration certificates will be distributed through designated centres. Schools will later hand over the documents to students.
