HSC Question Leak Rumours News

The government will take legal action against anyone who spreads rumours about question paper leaks during the upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M. Ehsanul Haque Milon has said.

The minister made the remarks on Friday (June 26) while speaking as the chief guest at an exchange meeting organised by the Dinajpur Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The event was held at the auditorium of the Dinajpur District Shilpakala Academy.

Addressing the meeting, the minister said the government would take a stricter approach than in previous years. He said anyone making false or negative comments about question paper leaks would be detained by police for questioning.

“We were lenient last time. But this time we will not be,” the minister said. He added that police would take suspects into custody, question them, and collect information related to the claims.

Referring to an earlier incident, Dr. Milon said a media outlet had published a report claiming that SSC examination questions had been leaked. According to him, the report was later removed.

He also said that some people associated with politics at the University of Dhaka later shared claims online about how the question paper had allegedly been leaked. However, he said it was later proven that the question paper had not been leaked.

The minister’s comments come ahead of the HSC and equivalent examinations, when authorities often monitor misinformation that could affect students, parents, and the examination process.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Milon listened to the views of principals from different colleges under the Dinajpur Education Board regarding the examination results of their institutions.
