The long wait is almost over for hundreds of thousands of young students and their parents across Bangladesh. The results of the 2026 Primary Scholarship Examination will be released tomorrow, Thursday, July 9, 2026.
Officials from the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) say that almost all preparations for the release of the results are complete. A senior official from the directorate confirmed this information on Tuesday, adding that the processing of the results is virtually finished.
According to directorate sources, the Minister of Education is expected to formally announce the results at a press conference at the ministry on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Following the official announcement, students will be able to check their results via SMS and online.
The potential date of July 9 was previously discussed at a meeting held at the ministry on July 1.
Result Coming After a Long Delay
This year’s primary school scholarship exams were held nationwide during April. In most districts, the exams took place from April 15 to 18. However, in the three mountainous districts—Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban—a different schedule was followed, with the exams held from April 17 to 20.
Although the results were initially expected to be published a month after the exams, students have had to wait approximately two and a half months. Understandably, anticipation among the test-takers and their families is very high.
How to Check the Primary Scholarship Result 2026
Once the results are officially announced, students can check their results in two easy ways:
1. Check Result via SMS (Teletalk)
Any mobile phone can be used to get the result through SMS. Simply follow these steps:
- Go to your phone’s message option
- Type: DPE (space) Roll Number
- Send the message to 16222
Example: DPE 123456
You will receive a reply SMS with your result shortly after sending.
2. Check Result Online (With PDF Download)
Students can also view their results online through the official website of the Directorate of Primary Education. Here’s how:
- Visit ipemis.dpe.gov.bd/scholarship-results or dpe.gov.bd
- Enter your Roll Number
- Select the Exam Year
- Select your Upazila
- Click submit to view your result sheet
From the same page, students will also be able to download the full result sheet as a PDF file and keep it saved for future use.
A Quick Reminder for Students and Parents
Due to the high volume of users attempting to access the results website simultaneously on the day of publication, the server may be slow to respond for the first few hours. If the site doesn’t load immediately, don’t worry: try again later or use the SMS method, which usually works without issues.
