The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination 2026 under Bangladesh Open University will begin on April 24. The first exam will be Bangla 1st Paper. The written tests will continue until June 5, 2026.
According to the BOU SSC Routine, exams will be held in two daily shifts. The morning shift will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The afternoon shift will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The full routine is available on the university’s official website.
On the final day, June 5, several subjects will be held in both shifts. In the morning, students will sit for History of Bangladesh and World Civilization, Accounting, and Physics (theoretical). In the afternoon, exams will include Finance and Banking, Biology (theoretical), and Civics and Citizenship.
The university has issued clear instructions for examinees. Students must carry their identity cards to enter the exam hall. Without an ID card, no student will be allowed to sit for the exam. Candidates can only take exams for subjects they have registered.
The exam will follow the timing mentioned on the question paper. Each test will begin with multiple-choice questions. The creative or written section will follow immediately, with no break in between.
Students must correctly fill in details on the answer sheet, including program code, ID number, and subject code. The answer sheet must not be folded under any condition. Non-programmable scientific calculators are allowed during exams.
Mobile phone use is strictly prohibited inside exam centres, except for the centre secretary. Students must pass each part of the exam separately, including written, multiple-choice, and practical sections.
Practical exams will be held within seven days after the written tests end. These will take place at the respective exam centres.
For 2020 batch students, this is the final chance to take the SSC exam. Different attempt limits apply for earlier batches.
The authority has stated that the schedule may change if needed.
