The B Unit admission test under the Faculty of Science for first-year undergraduate admission at Comilla University (CoU) was held on Saturday, 31 January. The one-hour exam took place from 11:00 am to 12:00 PM at designated centres in Comilla and Rajshahi.
University administration sources confirmed that a total of 390 seats are available in the B Unit for the 2025–26 academic session. This year, 37,614 students applied for these seats. On average, more than 96 candidates are competing for each seat, showing strong demand for science subjects at the university.
Of the total applicants, 24,991 sat for the exam at the Comilla University centre. Another 12,623 candidates attended the Rajshahi University centre.
The admission test followed a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format. The exam carried 100 marks and lasted for one hour. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted as negative marking. Candidates must score at least 33 marks to pass.
University officials said the arrangements were made to ensure an orderly and fair examination. Students entered the halls in phases, and invigilators supervised the process throughout the test period.
The large number of applicants compared to the limited seats highlights the high competition for science-based degrees at public universities. Many students view CoU as a key option for affordable and quality higher education.
The COU B Unit Result of the test are expected to be announced later through official university channels. Successful candidates will then proceed to the next steps of the admission process as per the university’s schedule.
