The subject preference form filling for admission to Dhaka University (DU) for the 2025–2026 academic year begins today, Tuesday (27 January). The process applies to all candidates who have passed the DU admission test.
According to an official notice, eligible students must complete the subject preference form online within the announced deadline. Those who fail to submit the form on time will not be considered for subject allocation and will lose the chance of admission.
The DU admission committee said the online form filling will run from 3:00 pm today until 3:00 pm on 5 February. Candidates must enter the university’s designated admission website and provide all required information correctly.
The notice clearly states that completing the subject preference form is mandatory for admission. Only students who submit the form within the given time will be included in the subject allocation process.

After completing the form, candidates are advised to print a copy and keep it for their personal records. The printed copy may be needed later for reference or verification.
The university warned that no extra time would be given after the deadline. Any candidate who misses the submission window will be excluded from subject allocation, regardless of admission test results.
Dhaka University publishes subject allocations based on candidates’ preferences and merit positions. This step plays a key role in determining which department or subject a student may study if selected.
The admission committee urged all successful candidates to complete the process carefully. Incorrect or incomplete information may affect subject allocation.

The subject preference form filling will close at 3:00 pm on 5 February. After that, the university will proceed with the next steps of the admission process, including subject allocation, based on submitted preferences and results.
