Dhaka University (DU) has published the results of the re-scrutiny for the A Unit (Science Unit) admission test for the 2025–26 academic year. The results have been released on Wednesday, February 4, through the university’s official admission test website, according to a DU notice.
The re-scrutiny process followed applications from candidates who requested a review of their results. DU opened applications for re-scrutiny on January 27. The process ended on February 1.
In its notice, the university said changes were found in the written examination results after re-scrutiny. However, no changes were found in the multiple-choice question (MCQ) section. DU did not provide details on how many written scores were revised.
The A Unit admission test is for science-related subjects. It is one of the most competitive admission tests of Dhaka University. Earlier, on Monday, January 26, DU published the A Unit Result for the admission test. A total of 7,621 students passed the exam.
An official analysis of the published results shows that most successful candidates came from the science stream. Among the passed students, 7,212 were from a science background. The remaining successful candidates included 300 students from the humanities stream and 109 from the business studies stream.
The results also showed a high number of disqualified candidates. According to the data, 4,278 students were disqualified from the admission process. DU did not specify the reasons in the re-scrutiny notice.
Admission test re-scrutiny allows students to check whether their answer scripts were properly evaluated. It does not involve re-examination. Instead, officials review the marking and calculation process to identify possible errors.
The DU A Unit Review Result is important for candidates waiting for final confirmation of their scores. Any change in written marks can affect merit positions and subject choices. Students can view their updated results through the DU admission website using their application details. DU has not announced any further review process.
The university is expected to continue the admission procedure based on the revised results, following the existing admission schedule.
