The Election Commission said that Election Result 2026 of the 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum will be announced without much delay. The vote will take place today (February 12) across Bangladesh.
Election Commissioner Abdur Rahmanel Masud made the statement after visiting the results dissemination booth at the Election Commission headquarters in Dhaka.
“The voting atmosphere is very good. A festive mood prevails,” Masud told reporters. “We are working in a well-planned manner. I hope the results will be published without significant delay.”
Commissioners Md Anwarul Islam Sarkar and Tahmida Ahmed were also present during the inspection.
Officials said preparations for announcing the result will be start soon. The dissemination booth at the headquarters will collect and share results from across the country once counting begins.
Meanwhile, election materials have started reaching polling centres in Dhaka ahead of the twin votes. Authorities are holding the parliamentary election and a referendum on the same day.
Ballot papers, ballot boxes, and other necessary supplies have already been delivered to many centres. Law enforcement agencies escorted the materials under tight security, officials said.
The Election Commission has not reported any major disruptions in the preparation process. Officials say they are following a detailed plan to manage voting, counting, and result publication.
The assurance of quick result publication is important for voters and candidates. Timely results help maintain public confidence in the electoral process and reduce uncertainty after voting ends.
Polling will begin today morning and continue as scheduled under the supervision of election officials and security personnel. The Commission is expected to start releasing results soon after counting is completed.
