The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has taken a preliminary decision to begin this year’s HSC Exam 2026 on 7 June. The decision came from a meeting of board chairmen on Sunday afternoon in Dhaka.
Officials said a formal notice will be issued after final approval. The approval must come from Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon.
A chairman who attended the meeting confirmed the development to The Daily Campus. He spoke on condition of anonymity as the decision is not yet final.
“The time for the HSC examination is approaching fast,” the chairman said. “We held the meeting to fix a starting date. We agreed on 7 June as a preliminary date.”
He also said the education minister could not attend the meeting. He was busy with the ongoing parliamentary session at that time.
