Infinix Note Edge 5G Launched in India: 8GB RAM, Strong Processor, Curved Display, Big Battery

Infinix has expanded its mid-range lineup in India with the launch of the Infinix Note Edge 5G. The new smartphone focuses on battery life, slim design, and a bright curved display. It is also the first phone from the brand to ship with Android 16-based XOS 16 out of the box.

With a starting price of Rs. 21,999, the device aims to offer strong value for users who want performance, style, and long-term software support.

Sleek Design With Bright Curved AMOLED Screen

One of the biggest highlights of the Infinix Note Edge 5G is its slim body. The device measures just 7.2mm in thickness and weighs around 185g to 190g, depending on the colour.

It features a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2644 × 1208 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming. It also offers up to 4,500 nits peak brightness, making it easy to use even under direct sunlight.

For protection, the display is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The phone also comes with an IP65 rating, which means it is resistant to dust and splashes.

The device includes dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL for an improved audio experience.

MediaTek Dimensity 7100 Powers the Performance

Under the hood, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset built on a 6nm process. The company claims an AnTuTu score of over 7,50,000, placing it in a strong position in the mid-range segment.

The processor is paired with a Mali-G610 GPU, up to 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The device also supports up to 90FPS gaming.

It comes with AI-based gaming tools such as Performance Mode, Magic Voice Changer, Network Enhancement, and Bypass Charging. The bypass charging feature helps reduce heat by powering the phone directly during gaming sessions.

6,500mAh Battery With 45W Fast Charging

Battery life is another key focus. The Infinix Note Edge 5G packs a large 6,500mAh battery, the biggest ever used in an Infinix smartphone so far.

Despite the large capacity, the phone remains slim due to advanced battery packaging technology. It supports 45W wired fast charging and can charge up to 50 percent in around 27 minutes. It also supports 10W reverse wired charging.

Infinix claims the battery can retain over 80 percent health even after 2,000 charge cycles, which roughly equals several years of regular use.
