Jagannath University has announced the dates for submitting subject preference orders for students who passed its admission test for the 2025–2026 academic session. The process will start on February 8 and continue until 11:59 PM on February 16 in Dhaka.
The information was published in an official notice on Sunday, February 1. The notice was signed by the Acting Registrar of Jagannath University, Professor Dr Md. Sheikh Gias Uddin.
The announcement applies to first-year Undergraduate (Honours) and BBA programmes under the 2025–2026 academic year. According to the notice, candidates who took part in Units A, B, C and D must have at least 20 per cent marks to be eligible. This minimum score is 14.4 marks out of a total of 72.
For candidates who appeared in Unit E, different conditions apply. They must secure at least 20 per cent marks in the MCQ section. They must also obtain at least 10 per cent marks in the practical section.
Only candidates who meet these minimum requirements will be allowed to submit their subject preference order. Eligible students must complete the process through their individual admission panels.
They must log in to Jagannath University’s official admission website at https://jnuadmission.com.
The university said the online system will remain open from February 8 until 11:59 PM on February 16. This step is commonly known among applicants as the JNU Subject Choice stage. It allows successful candidates to list their preferred subjects before further admission procedures.

The notice confirms that participation in the preference order process is limited strictly to candidates who passed the admission test under the stated criteria. No manual submission will be accepted for this stage.
For thousands of applicants across Bangladesh, this announcement is important because it marks the next required step in the university admission process. Students who fail to submit their subject preferences within the given time will not be able to move forward through the system.
The university did not provide any additional schedule or information about later stages in the same notice.
The subject preference submission system will close automatically after 11:59 PM on February 16, according to the official announcement.
