The Junior Scholarship Result for Class 8 has been published on Wednesday afternoon. Education Minister Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Haque Milon announced the results at around 1:30 pm. A total of 46,200 students received scholarships under all education boards.
According to the official notice, 14,700 students secured merit scholarships. Another 31,500 students received general scholarships. The results cover students from all Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Boards in Bangladesh.
The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Dhaka, awarded the highest number of scholarships. Under this board, 3,622 students received merit scholarships and 7,762 received general scholarships. In total, 11,384 students from the Dhaka board were selected.
The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Rajshahi, selected 6,027 students. Of them, 1,917 received merit scholarships, and 4,110 received general scholarships.
From the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Comilla, 5,252 students received scholarships. This includes 1,671 merit scholarships and 3,581 general scholarships.
The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Jessore, awarded scholarships to 5,205 students. Among them, 1,656 received merit scholarships, and 3,549 received general scholarships.
Under the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Dinajpur, a total of 5,691 students were selected. Of these, 1,810 secured merit scholarships and 3,881 received general scholarships.
The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Chattogram, selected 3,857 students. Among them, 1,227 received merit scholarships, and 2,630 received general scholarships.
From the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Sylhet, 3,017 students were awarded scholarships. This includes 980 merit scholarships and 2,057 general scholarships.
The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Barishal, selected 2,735 students. Of them, 870 received merit scholarships, and 1,865 received general scholarships.
Meanwhile, the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Mymensingh, awarded scholarships to 3,032 students. Among them, 967 secured merit scholarships and 2,065 received general scholarships.
