Indian smartphone maker Lava International has unveiled the Lava Bold N2 4G in India. The budget handset is priced at INR 7,499, which is about $82. It will be available for purchase from 27 February through Amazon India.
The new model succeeds the Bold N1 4G, which was introduced in June last year. While many core features remain similar, the company has updated the design and improved the phone’s durability rating.
The device runs on an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Users can expand storage through a microSD card slot.
The phone features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate can make scrolling appear smoother. The screen has thick bezels and a waterdrop-style notch. The notch houses a 5MP front camera. A fingerprint scanner is placed on the side for security.
On the back, the handset includes a 13MP main camera. It also has a second sensor, though the company has not detailed its function. An LED flash is included for low-light photography.
The device packs a 5,000mAh battery. This capacity is common in budget smartphones and is designed to support full-day use under normal conditions. The phone runs Android 15 Go edition out of the box. The Go edition is a lighter version of Android made for entry-level devices.

One notable upgrade is the IP64 rating. An IP rating refers to ingress protection against dust and water. IP64 means the device is protected from dust and water splashes. The earlier model had an IP54 rating.
The Bold N2 4G will be sold in two colour options: Indus Black and Siachen White.
With its sub-$100 price, large battery, and basic 4G features, the device targets entry-level smartphone buyers in India. There is no official information yet about its launch in Bangladesh.
