Primary Scholarship Exam to start nationwide from April 15

The Primary Scholarship Examination 2025 will begin across Bangladesh on April 15, 2026. The Directorate of Primary Education confirmed the schedule in an official letter on March 24. The exam will take place nationwide except in the three hill districts.

Md. Masud Hossain, Director (Administration), signed the letter. It was sent to Deputy Commissioners and Upazila Nirbahi Officers. Officials were asked to inform schools and take needed steps.

According to the routine, the Bangla exam will be held on April 15. English will follow on April 16. Primary Mathematics is set for April 17. Bangladesh and Global Studies and Primary Science will take place on April 18.

The examination will run daily from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Students with special needs will get an extra 30 minutes. Authorities said this step will help ensure fair participation.

There is a revised schedule for Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban districts. Primary Mathematics will be held there on April 17. Bangladesh and Global Studies and Primary Science will follow on April 18. Bangla will be on April 19, and English on April 20. Exam times will remain unchanged.

Education officials said they have completed necessary preparations. They aim to hold the exams in a fair and smooth manner. Local authorities have also been asked to support the process.

The Primary Scholarship Examination is an important test for primary students. It helps identify students for talent-based and general scholarships. The results usually guide future academic support.

Officials said coordination efforts will continue until the examinations begin in April.
