RU A Unit Admission Test Result to Be Published Today

RU A Unit Result 2026 for the 2025-2026 first-year honours admission test will be available on its official website.

Rajshahi University (RU) will publish the result of the ‘A’ Unit admission test for the 2025-2026 undergraduate Honours programme on Saturday, 24 January. The result will be released after the completion of final processing work, according to university officials.

The information was confirmed by Professor Belal Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Rajshahi University. He said the work related to result preparation was still ongoing on Friday.

“We have not been able to finish the work yet,” Professor Hossain said. “The work will be completed within tonight. The result will be published tomorrow morning (24 January). Once the result is published, candidates will be able to check it from the university’s website.”

This year, the ‘A’ Unit admission test was held on 17 January. It was conducted for students seeking admission to first-year Honours programmes under the Faculty of Arts and related disciplines.

The examination was held in multiple-choice question (MCQ) format. The total mark was 100. The test included 80 MCQ questions, and the duration was one hour. Each question carried 1.25 marks.

Negative marking was applied in the test. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks were deducted. This means one mark was deducted for every four incorrect answers. The minimum pass mark for the examination was set at 40.

The admission test was conducted in two shifts on the same day. In the first shift, 57,759 candidates were registered. Among them, 52,657 candidates were present. The attendance rate in the first shift was 91.17 per cent.

In the second shift, a total of 57,756 candidates were registered. Out of them, 52,073 candidates appeared in the examination. The attendance rate in the second shift stood at 90.16 per cent.

This year, Rajshahi University arranged the ‘A’ Unit admission test at several centres across the country. Besides the main campus in Rajshahi, the exam was held at Dhaka University, Jagannath University, Chittagong University, Khulna University, and Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur.

For the first time, Barishal University was also included as an admission test centre. The move was aimed at reducing travel difficulties for candidates from different regions.

Once the RU A Unit Result is published, successful candidates will be informed about the next steps of the admission process through official university notices. Detailed instructions will be available on the Rajshahi University website once the result is released.
