Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has published the admission test results for its first-year undergraduate programmes for the 2024–2025 academic session.
The results were released on Saturday night (January 24, 2026), through the official RUET website. Candidates who took part in the admission test can now check the RUET Admission Result 2026 online.
The main admission test was held on Thursday, January 22. University authorities said the examination took place in a smooth and peaceful environment.
This year, the RUET admission test was conducted at two centres. One centre was on the RUET campus in Rajshahi. The other was at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in Dhaka.
A total of 18,277 students applied to sit for the admission test. Among them, 15,567 candidates appeared in the examination. The overall attendance rate across both centres was 85.17 per cent.
At the RUET centre in Rajshahi, 6,878 candidates were present. This represented an attendance rate of 81.14 per cent. At the BUET centre in Dhaka, 8,689 candidates appeared, with an attendance rate of 88.66 per cent.
The admission test was completed in a single shift and divided into two groups. The ‘Ka’ group examination was held from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. The ‘Kha’ group examination took place from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm.
The ‘Ka’ group test consisted of multiple-choice questions. The total marks were 400. The questions covered four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Higher Mathematics, and English. The ‘Kha’ group examination was for Architecture candidates. It was a written test with a total of 200 marks.
RUET authorities said strong security measures were maintained throughout the admission process. These measures covered question paper preparation, storage, and transportation to the exam centres.
In recent years, some public university admission tests in Bangladesh have faced allegations of cheating and misuse of modern technology. However, RUET officials said no such incidents occurred during this year’s examination.

Through this year’s integrated admission system, RUET will admit students to 1,230 general seats. These seats are spread across 14 departments. The departments fall under four faculties: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Architecture and Planning.
In addition to general seats, there are reserved seats for specific groups. These include five seats for candidates from the Chittagong Hill Tracts and small ethnic communities. With the reserved seats included, the total number of available seats for admission this year is 1,235.
The publication of the RUET admission result is an important step for students seeking engineering education at public universities. RUET is one of the leading engineering institutions in the country, and competition for seats remains high every year.
