Samsung Galaxy S26 Launch Date Confirmed

Company confirms San Francisco event as pre-reservations open in several markets

Samsung has officially confirmed that its Galaxy S26 series will launch on February 25. The announcement will take place at the next Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco. The company said the event will be livestreamed on its official website and YouTube channel.

The upcoming lineup is expected to include three models: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung has also started pre-reservations for the new devices in selected markets.

In India, customers can pay a small fee to secure early access to the phones. In other regions, users who register for the event will receive a $30 or €30 voucher. They will also get a trade-in bonus and a chance to win additional vouchers, according to details shared by the company.

Although the official launch is still weeks away, most key specifications of the devices have already appeared in recent leaks.

Reports suggest that the Galaxy S26 and S26+ will run on the Exynos 2600 processor in most regions. Both phones are expected to keep the same screen sizes as their previous models. Each device will come with 12GB of RAM.

The standard Galaxy S26 is expected to feature a 4,300mAh battery. The S26+ may continue with a 4,900mAh battery, similar to the current S25+. The rear camera setup on both models is likely to remain unchanged.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to use a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. It may include a 5,000mAh battery. The device is also tipped to support up to 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. While camera resolutions may stay the same, reports indicate the lenses could have larger apertures to improve light capture.

Samsung has not yet confirmed these specifications. Full details, pricing, and availability will be announced during the February 25 event.

For Bangladeshi consumers, the launch is significant as Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S series remains popular in the local premium smartphone market. Local pricing and pre-order details for Bangladesh are expected to be shared after the global unveiling.

Samsung is expected to reveal the final specifications and market rollout plans during the Galaxy Unpacked livestream later this month.
