The new policy for the SSC Exam 2026 has been officially published in Bangladesh. The announcement came on Sunday, 12 April, through the website of the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
The policy outlines key rules for students, exam officials, and centre authorities. It also explains duties, disciplinary actions, and penalties for cheating during the examination.
According to the published guidelines, the exam will follow a structured time format. For subjects with a total of 100 marks, the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) part will carry 30 marks and last 30 minutes. The Creative Question (CQ) section will carry 70 marks and continue for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
For practical-based subjects, the MCQ section will have 25 marks with a duration of 25 minutes. The CQ part will carry 50 marks and last 2 hours and 35 minutes.
The board has confirmed that there will be no break between the MCQ and CQ sections. Exams will run continuously as per the time mentioned in the question paper.

The schedule also sets fixed times for question paper distribution. For exams starting at 10:00 AM, MCQ papers and OMR sheets will be given at 9:30 AM. The MCQ exam will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the CQ paper at 10:30 AM.
For afternoon exams starting at 2:00 PM, distribution will begin at 1:30 PM. The MCQ exam will start at 2:00 PM, and the CQ section will follow at 2:30 PM.
