The SSC Result 2026 will be published on July 20, according to Education Adviser A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon. He announced the date during a press briefing at the Secretariat on Monday, June 8, 2026.

He said, “We will publish the SSC and Equivalent Results on July 20, 2026, and we have already issued the necessary instructions. We have also announced the HSC examination schedule and all related matters.”

When attention was drawn to learning gaps, the Minister said the government is prioritising curriculum learning outcomes based on content and moving forward accordingly, focusing on essential competencies for students.

He also discussed the proposed SSC exam schedule for 2027, saying discussions have started about possible timing adjustments. He said the routine already published places the exam from January 7 to February 8, and stakeholders have been consulted. He said stakeholders continue to review the schedule to ensure academic stability.

He said any adjustment of one month could be considered if it does not affect the system, adding that the aim is to reduce session backlog and keep academic schedules on time.

He added that the government is working to align examinations with academic cycles, so students can complete 12 years of schooling within the expected age. He noted concerns that delays have extended education timelines and reduced efficiency in the system. He said these measures aim to reduce delays across higher education admissions as well.

The Minister also said scholarship examinations, which were not held during the previous government, have now been conducted and results published, with a proposal to increase scholarship amounts in the future.

This year’s SSC examinations began on April 21, 2026, with the Bangla First Paper exam. The written examinations ended on May 20 with Biology for Science group students and Economics for Humanities group students.

According to official data, 1,857,344 students registered for the SSC and equivalent examinations across the country this year. Among them, 930,305 were male candidates, and 927,039 were female candidates.

These announcements are important for SSC candidates and their families across Bangladesh. The exam schedule and result timeline affect admission planning in colleges and universities. The Minister highlighted concerns that students often complete 12 years of education later than the expected age of 18, sometimes reaching 20 years due to delays.

The government aims to reduce these gaps and improve alignment between school and higher education systems. Officials said continued coordination with stakeholders will guide the final decisions on exam timing and implementation.
