Apple on Wednesday released iOS 26.3 for iPhone users. The update is the third major version of the operating system first launched in September. It follows several weeks of developer and public beta testing.
According to Apple’s release notes, iOS 26.3 introduces a new way to switch from an Android phone to an iPhone. The new migration feature allows users to move data without downloading extra apps from Apple or Google.
The transfer process supports apps, messages, notes, passwords, phone numbers, photos and other data. Apple says the aim is to make the switch easier for users moving from Android devices.
However, a report by MacRumors said the process may not be fully simple. The report claimed this could be why Apple has not widely promoted the feature so far. Apple has not publicly detailed any limitations.
The update also brings changes to the Apple Music app. The “Favourite Songs” playlist is now visible in the “Top Picks” section on the home page. This makes it easier for users to access their saved tracks.
Users can now download song lyrics for offline use. This means they can read lyrics even when there is no internet connection.
In addition, iOS 26.3 fixes several bugs found in earlier versions of the system. Apple did not list all issues in detail but said the update improves overall performance and stability.

Apple confirmed that iPhones enrolled in the beta programme for iOS 26.3 are eligible to receive the stable version. The update is available for iPhone 11 and later models.
To install the update, users need to open the Settings app on their iPhone. Then they should go to General and tap on Software Update. The device will check for available updates automatically.
If iOS 26.3 appears, users can tap “Download & Install”. They must agree to the terms and conditions before the installation begins. The iPhone may restart several times during the process.
The release is important for users who plan to switch from Android to iPhone. The new tool could reduce the time needed to transfer personal data. Apple Music users may also benefit from the easier playlist access and offline lyrics feature.
