The Junior Scholarship Exam 2025 Result for Class 8 of Dhaka Board, Barisal Board, Dinajpur, Chittagong, Mymensingh, and the other 4 Education Boards will be published today at 1 PM. The Secondary Education Board will release the result after handing it over to Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon. The result will then be formally published in the Ministry of Education’s meeting room.
The announcement was made on February 24 through a notice on the Ministry of Education website. According to the notice, the result will be released on Wednesday (February 25, 2026).
Students will be able to check the merit list for both the Talent Pool and General Scholarship online. The result will also be available through mobile SMS. Authorities said the process has been kept simple so that students and guardians can access it easily.
This year, 46,200 students will receive scholarships. Among them, 14,700 students will be selected for the Talent Pool, which is also known as the merit scholarship category. The remaining students will receive general scholarships.
A total of 315,160 students from across the country took part in the examination. The Junior Scholarship Exam began on December 28 and ended on January 6, 2026. The result is being published 46 days after the exam ended.
Know How to Check Junior Scholarship Exam Result Online
Like the PSC, JSC, SSC, or HSC Exam Result, the Education Board published the Class 8 Scholarship Result online through the official website. The merit status will be displayed on the screen after submitting the Roll Number.
- First of all, candidates will need to visit the official website of the Dhaka Education Board at dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd
- On the homepage, look for the “Scholarship Result” menu and click there.
- A notice page will appear on the screen.
- Select the Exam Year (2025).
- Type Roll Number and click on the “Submit” button.
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
In addition, there is an alternative method for all education boards. Students can check the Junior Scholarship Result by SMS. For this, they will need to send an SMS to 16222. First, open the SMS App and type Exam Name, Roll Number, and send it. The result will be available in the reply SMS.
The exam was organised by the Bangladesh Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board after a gap of 15 years. Only students who passed Class 8 with strong academic results were allowed to sit for the scholarship test.
In recent years, the Ministry of Education published major public exam results, including SSC and HSC, within 60 days of the exam. In the past, the Junior School Certificate (JSC) results were usually published within 30 to 40 days.
The publication of the scholarship result is important for students and families. Scholarship recipients receive financial support and recognition for academic performance. It also helps students in their future education planning.
Officials said the results will be available shortly after the formal handover to the minister at 1 PM.
