RUET Admission: 155 Seats Vacant After 2nd Phase, 3rd Phase Date Announced

Third phase candidates asked to appear on April 6 with required documents.

Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) still has 155 vacant seats after completing the second phase of admissions for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The university has admitted a total of 1,075 students so far to its first-year undergraduate programmes. Among them, 1,045 students joined the Engineering and Urban and Regional Planning (URP) departments. Despite the second admission round, 155 seats remain unfilled in these programmes.

All 30 seats in the Architecture department have already been filled. No vacancies remain in that department.

RUET authorities have announced a third phase of admission to fill the remaining seats. Students ranked from merit position 3501 to 3716 have been asked to appear for admission. Candidates ranked from 3717 to 4100 may also be called if seats remain vacant.

These students must be present at the RUET Guest House on April 6 with the required documents.

The information was published in a notice on the RUET admission website. The notice was signed by Professor Dr Md Nurul Islam, chairman of the first-year undergraduate admission test committee.

The university said the admission list was prepared based on candidates’ merit positions and their preferred departments. Selected students must confirm their admission by paying the required fee during banking hours.

This year, RUET plans to admit students to 1,230 general seats across 14 departments under three faculties: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical and Computer Engineering. Including five reserved seats for students from the Chittagong Hill Tracts and ethnic minority groups, the university will fill a total of 1,235 seats for the 2025–26 academic session.
