Vivo T5x 5G India Launch Set for March 17, Big 7,200mAh Battery Confirmed

The Vivo T5x 5G will launch in India on March 17, the company confirmed on Tuesday. The smartphone will debut at 12 PM IST and expand the T-series lineup from Vivo. The device will arrive as the successor to the Vivo T4x 5G released in March 2025.

Vivo said the phone will be sold through Flipkart, the Vivo India online store, and authorised retail outlets across India after launch. Full specifications, pricing, and final availability will be announced during the launch event.

One of the key highlights is the large battery. The Vivo T5x 5G will pack a 7,200mAh battery. The company claims this will be the largest battery capacity in its segment.

Vivo said the phone is designed for long daily use. Users should be able to stream videos, play games, and browse the web without frequent charging. Reports indicate the device may support 44W fast charging, though the company has not confirmed the final charging speed.

The handset will run on Android 16 with OriginOS 6. The software is expected to offer smoother animations and improved customisation compared with earlier versions.

Performance will come from the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset. According to Vivo, the device has scored more than one million points in the AnTuTu benchmark test. AnTuTu is a widely used performance benchmark that measures a phone’s processing and graphics capability.

The company says the chipset should deliver faster gaming performance and better power efficiency than the previous generation. This upgrade could make the device suitable for users who need strong performance in the mid-range category.

Durability is another focus for the new model. The Vivo T5x 5G will feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. These ratings indicate strong protection against dust and high-pressure water exposure.

This is a notable upgrade from the Vivo T4x, which carried an IP64 rating. Higher protection levels may appeal to users who want a more durable smartphone for daily use.

Vivo has also hinted at the expected price segment. The company compared the phone with devices priced under Rs 23,000 in India. A teaser also described the device as the “fastest phone under Rs 23,000” as of March 5, 2026.

The design appears to follow elements from the company’s premium V-series models. Official teaser images show a clean rear panel and a large camera module layout. This design approach may give the device a more premium appearance despite its mid-range positioning.

The launch may signal future availability in nearby markets. Vivo devices released in India often reach Bangladeshi retailers later through official or regional distribution channels.

More details about the Vivo T5x 5G, including camera features and display specifications, are expected when Vivo officially unveils the device on March 17.
