HSC Exam 2026 New Rules

The Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced new instructions regarding entry to HSC examination centres for the 2026 examinations. Under the new arrangement, candidates will be allowed to enter the centre premises from 8:30 AM.

The decision was announced in a letter issued on Wednesday, 17 June. The letter was sent to the officers-in-charge of all HSC examination centres under the Dhaka Education Board.

According to the board, the measure has been introduced to reduce traffic congestion and public suffering around examination centres. Centre authorities have been asked to take the necessary steps to ensure that only candidates can enter the centre premises from 8:30 AM.

The letter also states that all previous instructions regarding entry into examination halls will remain in force. Officials concerned have been directed to make the required arrangements.

This year’s HSC examinations are scheduled to begin on 2 July and continue until 8 August. Practical examinations must be completed by 15 August.

As per the examination schedule, the Bangla First Paper (Compulsory) examination will be held on the opening day. On the final day, 8 August, examinations will be held for Finance, Banking and Insurance Second Paper and Child Development Second Paper.

The written examinations will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the morning shift. The second shift examinations will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Candidates have also been instructed to take their seats in the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the start of the examination.

The Dhaka Education Board expects the new entry arrangement to help manage movement around examination centres during the HSC examination period.
