Oppo K14x 5G gets new budget variant in India

The new 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option aims to make the device more affordable for students and first-time smartphone users.

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has introduced a new, lower-priced version of the Oppo K14x 5G in India. The handset was first launched in February as the first device in the K14 series.

The company has now added a base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It is priced at Rs. 12,999 and is now available for purchase in the country.

Price and availability

The new variant joins two existing configurations of the device. The 4GB + 128GB version is priced at Rs. 14,999, while the 6GB + 128GB model costs Rs. 16,999.

Buyers can also receive an instant bank discount of Rs. 750. A three-month no-cost EMI option is available for customers who prefer installment payments.

The smartphone can be purchased through Flipkart and the Oppo India online store. It comes in two colour options — Icy Blue and Prism Violet.

Display and software

The Oppo K14x 5G runs on Android 15 with ColorOS 15. The company says the device includes up to 48 months of Fluency Protection, a system feature designed to maintain smooth performance over time.

The phone has a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720 × 1,570 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,125 nits peak brightness. The handset also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Processor and connectivity

The device is powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset from MediaTek. It uses an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 graphics processor and supports up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port. The handset also supports several satellite navigation systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also included.

Cameras and battery

For photography, the phone features a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. A 5-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.

The Oppo K14x 5G packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging. The device measures 166.6 × 78.5 × 8.6mm and weighs about 212 grams.

The new entry-level model is expected to help Oppo reach more price-sensitive buyers in markets such as India, including students and people buying their first smartphone.
