The Directorate of Health Education has published the first migration list for private medical and dental colleges in Bangladesh. The list was released on Tuesday and includes 610 candidates selected for vacant seats.
According to an official notice, the migration relates to admissions for the 2025–26 academic year. The process covers MBBS and BDS courses in private medical colleges, dental colleges, and their units.
The authority first published a merit-based and preference-based college list on March 10. Selected candidates had until March 13, 2026, to confirm their seats. Many did not complete confirmation within that deadline.
As a result, 610 seats became vacant after the first confirmation phase ended. The Directorate then completed automatic migration of confirmed students to available preferred colleges. After this process, remaining seats were filled from the waiting list based on merit and choice.
The updated college-wise list is now available on the Directorate of Health Education website. It includes both migrated candidates and newly selected students from the waiting list.
Students selected in this second phase must confirm their seats between March 18 and March 20. Authorities said failure to confirm within this period will cancel the allocated seat.

The notice also warned that students who miss the confirmation deadline will lose admission eligibility. They will not be considered for admission in any other private medical or dental college later. Students who already confirmed their seats in the first phase do not need to confirm again.
To confirm admission, candidates must send an SMS from a Teletalk prepaid mobile phone. They need to type MBBSBDSNG, followed by their User ID, and send it to 16222. A reply SMS will provide a PIN, candidate details, and a request for consent.
To complete confirmation, students must send another SMS with YES and the PIN. A fee of Tk100 will be deducted as the confirmation charge. The system will then send a final confirmation message.
