Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon on Sunday called for proper evaluation of public exam answer scripts in Dhaka. He said students must receive only the marks they deserve.
The minister made the remarks at a meeting with centre secretaries. The event took place at Azimpur Government Girls’ School and College in the capital.
He stressed that examiners must act honestly during script checking. “We will give the partial marks that are deserved. We will not give any marks unnecessarily,” he said.

The minister also raised concerns about weak oversight in the system. He said the government cannot always verify how answer scripts are checked. He added that it is difficult to know if someone else checks the scripts instead of the assigned examiners.
His comments highlight the need for fairness and accountability in public exams. Education officials are expected to follow these instructions in upcoming evaluations.
