The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has received information on more than 77,000 vacant teaching posts across Bangladesh. The data was collected to prepare for the 19th teacher registration circular.
On Thursday, April 16, NTRCA sources said that 77,227 vacant posts were reported by schools, colleges, madrasas, and technical institutions. The deadline for submitting vacancy data ended on Wednesday. However, officials said the number may increase slightly.
They noted that the deadline to submit the application fee is 11:59 PM on Thursday. Some institutions may still complete the process within this time.

Earlier, NTRCA had extended the deadline for submitting vacancy demands. The original deadline was set for last Sunday, but was later pushed back to allow more institutions to respond.
The large number of vacancies highlights ongoing staffing needs in MPO-listed institutions. NTRCA is expected to publish the 19th registration circular soon based on this data.
