The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) will hold a special recruitment exam (Head Teacher Exam) on April 18, 2026, in Dhaka. The exam will take place at nine centres across the capital. It will recruit candidates for senior posts in private educational institutions.
An urgent notice confirmed the schedule on Thursday. It was signed by NTRCA Secretary A M M Rizwanul Haque. A special control room has been set up at the NTRCA office to manage the exam.
The MCQ-based test will run in four groups on the same day. Group A will sit from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Group B will run from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Group C will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Group D will take place from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
The exam will cover posts such as principal, vice principal, head teacher, assistant head teacher, superintendent, and assistant superintendent.
The nine centres include Lalmatia Girls High School and College, Tejgaon College, Government Madrasa-e-Alia, College of Applied Human Science, Government Bangla College, Government Laboratory High School and College, Dhaka Residential Model College, Lalmatia Government Women’s College, and Begum Badrunnessa Government Women’s College.
An NTRCA official said the exam will proceed as planned after a legal update. The Appellate Division has stayed a previous High Court order that had halted the exam earlier on Thursday. The High Court bench issued that order after a writ petition challenged changes in the recruitment process.
The latest decision removes the legal barrier, allowing the exam to go ahead on schedule.
Officials say all preparations are complete. Candidates are expected to attend their assigned centres on time as the examination proceeds under strict supervision.
