The first-year undergraduate admission process for the 2025–26 academic session at Bangladesh Agricultural University has ended, with 391 seats still vacant. University officials confirmed the update on Wednesday, April 29.
Acting Proctor Professor Dr. Kazi Farhad Kadir said 615 students completed admission during the four-day process. The university has a total of 1,006 seats. This means around 61 percent of available seats have been filled.
Among the admitted students, 335 are male and 280 are female, according to university sources.
The largest number of vacant seats remains in the Faculty of Agriculture, where 168 seats are still open. Other vacant seats include 20 in Veterinary, 9 in Animal Husbandry, 26 in Agricultural Economics and Social Science, and 35 in Fisheries.
Several degree programmes also have open seats. These include 44 in Agricultural Engineering, 23 in Food Engineering, 14 in Bioinformatics Engineering, 11 in Food Safety Management, and 41 in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.

Admission committee sources said students who received places on the merit list but did not complete admission within the deadline will be treated as cancelled.
The next step will be the migration process, through which the university will fill the remaining seats.
The admission process began on April 26. The admission and related fees were set at Tk 6,214. However, students who had already paid Tk 10,000 earlier will not need to make another payment. The extra amount will be refunded to their Pubali Bank accounts.
The university is expected to announce the next migration schedule soon.
