Xiaomi has launched its new 17T smartphone series in global markets. The lineup includes two models — the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. The smartphones were introduced on Thursday and are currently available in the UK and selected European countries.
The new devices feature AMOLED displays, Leica-branded camera systems, Android 16-based HyperOS 3, and large batteries. The Xiaomi 17T Pro arrives as the higher-end model in the series with a flagship MediaTek processor and faster charging support.
Xiaomi 17T Pro Price and Availability
The Xiaomi 17T Pro starts at EUR 899 (around Rs. 1,02,000) for the variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The 512GB and 1TB storage options are priced at EUR 999 (around Rs. 1,11,400) and EUR 1,099 (around Rs. 1,22,500), respectively.
The handset is available in Deep Blue, Deep Violet, and Black colour options.
The standard Xiaomi 17T starts at EUR 749 (around Rs. 83,500) for the 12GB + 256GB version. Its 512GB storage model costs EUR 799 (around Rs. 89,000). Buyers can choose from Black, Blue, Opal White, and Violet colours.
Display and Performance
The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with support for up to a 144Hz refresh rate. The standard Xiaomi 17T comes with a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen offering 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision support, and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits.
Powering the Xiaomi 17T Pro is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. The Xiaomi 17T uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor and includes Xiaomi’s Surge T1 Plus and T1S chips.
The standard model also features a 3D Ice Loop cooling system and Astro Communication support, which Xiaomi says can enable offline communication over distances of up to 1.3 kilometres in certain situations.
Leica Camera System
Both smartphones are equipped with Leica-tuned triple rear camera setups.
The camera system includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The main difference between the two devices is the primary sensor.

The Xiaomi 17T uses a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 sensor, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro features a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 950 sensor. The same Light Fusion 950 sensor is also used in the Xiaomi 17.
For selfies and video calls, both phones include a 32-megapixel front camera. They also support 4K HDR10 video recording at up to 60 frames per second.
Battery and Software
The Xiaomi 17T packs a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 67W wired fast charging.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro comes with a larger 7,000mAh battery. It supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Both devices run Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 software and support features connected to the wider Xiaomi ecosystem.
