The Combined 8 Bank Officer (General) preliminary MCQ examination is being held today, Saturday, January 31, 2026, across designated centres in Bangladesh.
According to an official notice, the one-hour MCQ-type exam will take place from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The exam is for candidates applying for the post of Officer (General) in eight banks.
A total of 1,16,205 candidates have applied for the Officer (General) position. The post is classified as a 10th-grade position under the banking recruitment system.
The seat plan and exam schedule were published earlier through an official notice issued on Sunday, January 25. The notice was signed by Mizanur Rahman Akon, Director (BSCS) and Member-Secretary of the Bankers Selection Committee Secretariat.
The examination is being conducted under the supervision of the Bankers Selection Committee Secretariat. Only eligible candidates are allowed to sit for the preliminary test.
The authority has instructed candidates to enter their exam centres at least one hour before the exam starts. Candidates must bring their admit cards to gain entry. Without an admit card, entry to the exam centre is not permitted.
Candidates are allowed to carry only the admit card into the exam room. Other items, including papers, wallets, and calculators, are strictly prohibited.
After the preliminary exam, successful candidates will be informed about the next stage of the recruitment process through official channels.
