The ‘A’ Unit admission test under the General, Science and Technology (GST) cluster system ended across Bangladesh on Friday. The exam took place on April 10 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 21 centres nationwide.
As per the official report, a total of 166,102 candidates applied for the science stream this year. Officials confirmed that the test followed a multiple-choice question format with a total of 100 marks. The minimum pass mark was set at 30. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
This exam marks the end of the GST cluster admission process for the 2025–2026 academic year. In total, 284,480 students applied to 20 public universities under this system. Among them, 166,162 applied for the ‘A’ Unit, 93,102 for the ‘B’ Unit, and 25,185 for the ‘C’ Unit.

Authorities instructed candidates to arrive at least one hour before the exam. Students were required to carry their admit cards and necessary documents for entry.
Earlier, the ‘C’ Unit test was held on March 27, with results published on March 29. The ‘B’ Unit exam took place on April 3, and results were released on April 6.
The GST system allows students to apply to multiple universities through a single exam. Authorities are expected to announce the ‘A’ Unit results in the coming days.
