The Honours 4th Year Exam 2026 under the National University began on Thursday, 30 April, across Bangladesh. The exams will take place daily at 1:30 PM, according to university authorities.
In a press release, Controller of Examinations Enamul Karim confirmed that each exam will follow the duration mentioned in the question paper. Students have been instructed to arrive at their centres before the scheduled time.
The university has also issued detailed guidelines to exam centres to ensure smooth conduct. These steps follow recent reports of errors in handling question papers, filling answer scripts, and dispatching them.
Authorities stressed that centre officials must check the correct code when receiving question papers. If any wrong paper is opened, action will be taken against those responsible. Invigilators must also verify and sign all answer scripts and attendance sheets properly.

Centres have been told to match subject names and codes carefully when preparing bundles of answer scripts. They must also send accurate reports of any expelled examinees. Officials must ensure that no student can remove any answer script from the exam hall.
To prevent impersonation, students will not be allowed to sit for exams without both an admission and registration card. The use of mobile phones or any electronic device during exams is strictly banned and considered a punishable offence.
Authorities have asked centres to take all necessary steps to stop cheating. They may seek help from the district administration if needed. If any disruption occurs, centres must send a confidential report with evidence.
Students with disabilities will receive an extra 30 minutes for each exam. The university also noted that the exam schedule may change if unavoidable situations arise.
