The HSC Routine 2026 for the HSC and equivalent examinations is expected to be finalised within this week, Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon said on Tuesday.

He made the statement at a press conference held at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on April 21.

The announcement came after the earlier decision to postpone the HSC and equivalent examinations. Following that move, education boards began work to prepare a revised schedule as quickly as possible.

The minister said the proposed routine was prepared after discussions with stakeholders. He said no objections had been raised over the schedule so far.

“I postponed the examination a bit after talking with the stakeholders,” he said. “The HSC Routine 2026 has also been prepared based on their opinions.”

He added that the routine may be discussed again after publication if further feedback is received.

“The routine will be prepared this week. After it is done and when we publish it, we can consider their feedback,” he said.

The statement is important for thousands of students and families across Bangladesh who are waiting for the new exam dates. Many students need the routine to plan final revision, coaching classes, and travel arrangements.

During the briefing, the minister also spoke about the first day of this year’s SSC examinations. He said the exams were held in a peaceful environment across the country.

“No unpleasant incidents occurred anywhere, and there was no opportunity or possibility of question leaks,” he said.

He also thanked journalists for helping raise public awareness about fair examinations. He said the nation had been informed that this year’s tests would be transparent and free from cheating.

The minister praised students for taking part in the exams with enthusiasm.

“Students are taking exams in a festive mood, which is really nice to see,” he said. “My team and I are closely monitoring the entire process.”

He said the same close monitoring would continue during the upcoming public examinations.

The minister also urged media workers to report any irregularities or unpleasant incidents immediately. Students are now expected to receive the official HSC routine once board preparations are completed later this week.
