Jagannath University (JnU) has launched an online system that will allow students to view their semester final examination results on the university website.
The new module was inaugurated on Sunday (26 April) at noon by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Reza Uddin at his office, according to information shared by the university.
Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor said the current administration is committed to student-friendly reforms. He said the online result system is an important step that will reduce difficulties faced by students.
He also said the university plans to speed up the delivery of certificates and academic transcripts through automation. This means students may receive key documents faster in the future.
The Vice-Chancellor said students’ time is highly valuable. He added that the university has taken a practical action plan to save time and support smooth academic activities. He said the plan will be implemented quickly.
He also said academic life for new students will become more disciplined from the first day of classes under the new measures.
At the programme, Dean of the Faculty of Science Professor Dr. Parimal Bala and Director of the Information Technology Cell Professor Dr. Mohammad Nasir Uddin also spoke.
In the second phase of the event, a practical presentation of the Student Portal was shown through a projector. The session was moderated by Deputy Controller of Examinations, Md. Nasir Uddin Talukdar.
Deans from different faculties, student leaders, and representatives of student organisations attended the inauguration ceremony.
The university is expected to roll out further digital services in the next phase of its automation process.
