Nothing Phone 4a, 4a Pro Launched in India: Price, Specs, and All You Need to Know

The Nothing Phone 4a and Nothing Phone 4a Pro have officially launched on Thursday at an event in London, United Kingdom. The new smartphones will go on sale in India later in March through the e-commerce platform Flipkart.

Both devices come from the UK-based brand founded by Carl Pei. The company presented the phones as mid-range devices with a focus on design and custom lighting features.

The Nothing Phone 4a starts at Rs 31,999 in India for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The 8GB + 256GB version costs Rs 34,999, while the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 37,999. Buyers may also receive a Rs 1,000 bank discount and an exchange bonus of up to Rs 6,000.

The Phone 4a Pro is priced at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB + 128GB option. The 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs 42,999, and the 12GB + 256GB version is priced at Rs 45,999. The standard Phone 4a will go on sale in India on March 13, while the Pro model will be available from March 27.

The Phone 4a introduces a new “Glyph Bar” lighting system on the rear panel. It uses 63 mini-LED lights across six zones to show alerts, timers, volume levels, and notifications.

The phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It runs on Android-based software called Nothing OS 4.1 and promises three years of operating system updates and six years of security patches.

The device uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset developed by Qualcomm. It offers up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

For photography, the Phone 4a includes a triple rear camera setup. This includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. The phone also has a 32-megapixel front camera and can record video at 4K resolution.

The handset packs a 5,400mAh battery with 50W wired fast charging. According to the company, the phone can charge from 1 percent to full in about 64 minutes.

The Phone 4a Pro model comes with a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display and a higher 144Hz refresh rate. Instead of the Glyph Bar, it uses a larger “Glyph Matrix” lighting system with 137 mini-LEDs for notifications and visual tools.

Both phones support 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB-C charging. They also include an in-display fingerprint sensor and several onboard sensors.

Nothing said the new devices continue their focus on distinctive design and custom lighting features. The company will begin shipping the smartphones to Indian customers later this month.
