The first-year undergraduate (Honours) admission test for the 2025-26 academic session of National University will be held tomorrow, Saturday, across Bangladesh. The exam will take place from 11 am to 12 pm at 138 selected centres in divisional and district towns.
A total of 453,148 candidates are expected to take part in the test, making it one of the country’s largest university admission exams this year.
Candidates have been advised to avoid last-minute pressure before the exam. Instead of trying to learn new topics, students may benefit more from revising subjects they have already studied. This can help keep the mind clear and improve confidence before entering the exam hall.
Students should reach their centres at least one hour before the scheduled start time. Early arrival can reduce stress, help candidates find their seats, and allow time to prepare mentally.
Applicants should also check their documents tonight. The admit card, HSC registration card, and required pens should be kept ready in advance. Many students face avoidable problems by forgetting these items on exam day.

The admission test will follow the MCQ, or multiple-choice question, method. The total mark is 100, and the exam duration is one hour. Each correct answer will carry one mark.
There will be no negative marking. This means unanswered questions may reduce chances, while all questions can be attempted without penalty.
The question paper will include 20 marks in Bangla, 20 in English, and 20 in General Knowledge. The remaining 40 marks will come from group-based subjects under Science, Humanities, or Business Studies.
The pass mark is 35. However, students seeking a stronger position in merit lists are expected to aim for higher scores.
Candidates have also been advised to manage time carefully inside the hall. They may first answer easier questions, then return to difficult ones later. This method can save time and build confidence during the test.
Special care is needed while filling in the OMR answer sheet. Candidates should use a black ink ballpoint pen and fill circles clearly. They should avoid cutting marks or other mistakes.
Students have also been asked to behave respectfully with teachers and invigilators. If any problem arises during the exam, they should seek guidance immediately.
Results and the next steps in the admission process are expected to be announced later by the National University.
