The Realme C83 5G has been launched in India as a new budget smartphone from Realme. The phone features a large 7,000mAh battery and a high refresh rate display. It is part of the company’s C-series lineup.
The device comes with a 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen. It offers HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The display also supports up to 900 nits peak brightness and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. This chipset is built on a 6-nanometre process for better power efficiency. It works with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage.
Users can expand storage with a microSD card. The slot supports expansion up to 2TB. The phone runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 installed out of the box.
For photography, the handset has a single 13-megapixel rear camera. The lens has an f/2.2 aperture and autofocus support. On the front, the phone includes a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
One key highlight is the large 7,000mAh battery. Realme says it supports 15W wired charging through a USB Type-C port. The phone weighs 212 grams and has a thickness of 8.4mm.
The device also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has a single speaker and carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. The handset also meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards.
Connectivity features include dual-SIM support, 5G networks, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi, and GPS.
The Realme C83 5G comes in Blooming Purple and Sprouting Green colours. Prices start at ₹13,499 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model. The 4GB + 128GB version costs ₹14,499, while the 6GB + 128GB model is priced at ₹17,499.
The phone is available through Flipkart and the Realme online store in India. Availability in other markets has not been announced.
