The Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) will publish the admission results for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) and the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) today, Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Update on January 15, 2026: The Admission Results for all Faculty will be published on January 20, 2026. Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) officially announced this information.
According to the official admission circular, the result will be published on January 14 and January 20, 2026. Candidates who appeared in the written tests can check their merit status online. The merit list and the waiting list will be published on the official BUP website.
The results are for the 2025–2026 academic session. Only candidates who were shortlisted earlier were allowed to sit for the admission tests.
The admission test for the Faculty of Business Studies was held on January 9, 2026. The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences test took place on January 10, 2026. BUP conducts these exams on separate days due to high applicant numbers.
For the FASS unit, the written test was held on Saturday, January 10. The exam ran from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates needed to qualify in the earlier screening process to sit for the test. The Faculty of Business Studies is one of the most competitive units at BUP. It offers programmes such as BBA (General), Management, Accounting, Finance, and Marketing. Every year, a large number of high-performing students apply for limited seats.
The FBS written test was conducted on Friday, January 9. The morning shift ran from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. The BBA (General) exam was also held on the same day during the afternoon shift, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. BUP shortlists FBS candidates based on academic results before the written test. Only students who met the required GPA criteria were allowed to appear in the exam.
University officials said the publication of written results is an important step in the admission process. For FBS candidates, the viva voce stage begins after the written results are announced. The official circular also states that BUP admission results will be published on two separate dates, January 14 and January 20, 2026. The later date will cover other units.
Admission tests for the remaining faculties, including the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies, are scheduled for January 17, 2026.
Candidates are advised to check results only through the official BUP website to avoid misinformation. Further instructions about the next steps will be announced by the university after the results are published.
