The Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has published the admission test results for first-year undergraduate programmes for the 2025-2026 academic session. The results were released on Friday, 23 January, through the university’s admission-related website.
According to authorities, the CUET Admission Result cover two groups. Group ‘Ka’ includes all Engineering departments and the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Group ‘Kha’ includes the Department of Architecture.
In Group ‘Ka’, a total of 9,498 candidates have secured positions on the merit list. For Group Kha’, 303 candidates have been placed on the merit list for Architecture.
All candidates listed on the CUET Result 2026 Merit lists must complete the next step of the admission process online. They are required to log in to the CUET admission website and fill in the online choice form. This process will begin at 10:00 a.m. on 1 February and will close at 11:59 p.m. on 10 February.
During this period, candidates must provide their personal and academic information. They must also select their departmental preferences. For Engineering and Urban and Regional Planning programmes, candidates must choose a total of 11 departmental preferences in order. For the Department of Architecture, candidates do not need to submit any separate preference order.

CUET authorities have also announced details of the first phase of admission. For this phase, the top 1,250 candidates from the Group ‘A’ merit list and the top 75 candidates from Group ‘B’ have been asked to appear at the university campus. They must complete the admission process in person on 25 February.
The university stated that if any seats remain vacant after this phase, admissions will continue in stages. Candidates will then be called from the next positions on the merit lists, based on the availability of seats.
The CUET admission test for the 2025–26 session was held on Saturday, 17 January. The test was conducted against a total of 931 seats, which included 11 reserved seats. Initially, 13,942 candidates were shortlisted to take part in the admission process.
Out of those selected candidates, 12,099 students appeared in the admission test. The published results are based on their performance in this examination.
The CUET Admission result is important for thousands of students seeking engineering and architecture education in Bangladesh. CUET is one of the country’s leading public engineering universities, and competition for its limited seats remains high every year.
